Questions to ask Wedding Caterers before booking

Here are some of the more common questions that you should ask a wedding caterer before booking.

1. We're getting married at Venue X - Have you catered there before?
2. Can you cater for X number of guests?
3. Do you need to provide your own cooking equipment? If so, is there an additional charge?
4. Do you provide crockery, cutlery and linen?
5. Does your price include all of your staff?
6. Will you be catering for any other events on our wedding day?
7. Can we do a tasting session and is it complimentary?
8. How long have you been a wedding caterer?
9. How flexible are the menus?
10. What vegetarian or special dietary options do you provide?
11. Can you cut my wedding cake and serve it with the evening buffet or as a dessert for the wedding breakfast?
12. Can you cater for a favourite dish of ours?
13. What do the catering staff wear?
14. What deposit is required? Is the deposit refundable?
15. What are the payment terms/dates?
16. Do your prices include VAT?
17. When will you need final numbers and menu choices?
